Biography: Joseph Petrilock has lived in Pennsylvania his entire life, living the past 50 years or so in Bucks County. He was born in a small town in northern Pennsylvania. He remembers going to public school and being a part of the yearbook staff in high school. After graduating from high school, Mr. Petrilock went to Penn State, received a Bachelor's degree in Art and began a long teaching career with Bristol Township as their art teacher at the high school level. When Bristol High School closed, he went on to teach at the elementary level. He retired after 40 years of teaching within the district.

During this time, Mr. Petrilock continued his education obtaining a Master's Degree and also working toward a Doctorate. Since retiring from teaching, Mr. Petrilock has been busy traveling and enjoying his retirement. He hasn't been doing very much painting and really feels his life has been pretty ordinary.

His painting, Barn, was painted around 1955, of a barn he saw outside of State College. Mr. Petrilock lives in Levittown, Pennsylvania and is pleased to have his work involved with the Art on the Move Program.
